i fully uninstalled my old winamp and deleted the old winamp dir before installing winamp pro. I have no additional plugins, etc installed. ![]() i have, i believe, and early generation of the AMD low power CPU. most things work OK on here (games and such, and nuendo, for instance), but the flash player crashes occasionally, too. I believe i have run memtest on this machine successfully. ![]() i will try unloading it and see if the problem continues. I am running the cisco vpn client currently, and that sometimes causes weird issues with other software. (it hits 14 seconds remaining on the rip, and then crashes). it is a single 3 minute track, and the crash occurs in the same place every time. The cd i am ripping was burned from a home recording using WMP on Vista. i've never had playback issues using whatever prior (very recent) version of free winamp i had been using. I get this reliably and repeatably when trying to rip a CD to mp3, and occasionally during mp3 and m4a playback. I am sad that this isn't in the FAQ, altho i did look.
